Amy D. Amaro, D.M.D.

Originally from Northeastern Pennsylvania, Dr. Amaro attended the University of Scranton, then graduated with honors from Dickinson College in 1994 with a B.S. in Biology.

Dr. Amaro attended Temple University School of Dentistry, where she earned her D.M.D. degree graduating in the top 3% of her class. She was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society in 1998. She also received the "Pierre Fauchard Award" for excellence in periodontics.

In 1998, Dr. Amaro spent a week in Haiti as part of the Haitian Health Foundation providing free dental care to the remote villages.

Fro the last 13 years, Dr. Amaro has been offering the highest quality endodontic care in the Norwich - Norwich area & the surrounding communities. Recognized among the "Best Dentists in CT" by Connecticut Magazine, Dr. Amaro is highly regarded by her patients and colleagues. Dr. Amaro is a member in good standing of the American Dental Association, the American Association of Endodontists, the Connecticut State Dental Association, the Connecticut Endodontic Association and the New London County Dental Association.

Dr. Amaro is married and has one child. When not practicing root canals, Dr. Amaro is active in her son's school and likes to relax doing yoga.

Christopher Lento, D.M.D.

Dr. Christopher A. Lento is from Philadelphia, PA and was born in 1955. He graduated from Temple University in 1977 with a BA in Psychology and a 4.0 GPA. He received his degree with summa cum laude. He is also a Phi Beta Kappa recipient.

Dr. Lento attended the University of Pennsylvania Dental School and graduated in 1981 with a D.M.D. degree. Dr. Lento then entered the U.S. Navy Dental Corp. as a general dentist and spent 11 years serving in the U.S. Navy. Tours of duty included Great Lakes Naval Dental Center, U.S. Naval Dental Center Okinawa Japan, Newport, Rhode Island and Washington, D.C.

Dr. Lento entered the endodontic residency program at The Naval Dental School, Betheseda Medical Center in 1989. He graduated with his post doctoral degree in endodontics in 1991. He received the Admiral's Award as the most outstanding resident in his graduating class of 1991. Dr. Lento completed his active duty with the Navy at the U.S. Naval Base, Newport, R.I. in 1993 and elected to stay in New England.

Dr. Lento established his dental practice in New London, Connecticut in 1993 and has been in private practice since then, specializing in endodontics. Connecticut Magazine recognized Dr. Lento as the "Best Dentists, in CT."

Dr. Lento became Board Certified in endodontics in 1999. He is a member of the American Association of Endodontists, the American College of Endodontic Diplomates, the Connecticut State Dental Association, the Connecticut Endodontic Association and the New London County Dental Society. He is a past president of the New London County Dental Society.

Dr. Lento has been married for over 30 years to Debbie and they have 2 grown children, Matt and Sarah. He enjoys outdoor activities such as fly fishing, kayaking and tennis. Technology and computers are his other passions.
